A free, all-ages community watch party for the Haiti vs. Scotland World Cup soccer match will be held this Saturday night (June 13) at the Menino Convention & Exhibition Center (MCEC) Ballroom on Summer Street in the Seaport District.
The event, hosted in partnership with the US Haitian Chamber of Commerce and the National Haitian American Elected Officials Network, will begin at 6 p.m. with cultural activities, local vendors, food, shopping, and live entertainment before the 9 p.m. match viewing.
Organizers are encouraging guests to RSVP through BostonFanZone.com.
The opening night celebration will highlight Haitian culture and community pride. World-renowned Haitian music artist Alan Cavé is scheduled to perform live before kickoff, helping set the stage for an evening built around music, soccer, and shared cultural celebration.
The watch party is part of a larger Boston Fan Zone World Cup Watch Party Series at MCEC, produced by Rosemark Production in partnership with Rebel. The MCEC parking lot and surrounding event space will be transformed into a family-friendly gathering place designed for fans.
The site will host 100 diverse vendors, giving local entrepreneurs, artisans, and food vendors an opportunity to showcase their businesses while adding to the festive atmosphere. The event includes free parking, live music, food, shopping, community engagement, and a lively match-day environment.
